Microsoft are putting up their prices

In an effort to harmonise prices across Europe and as a result of the fall in the value of the pound, Microsoft are putting up software and cloud pricing in the UK.

From 1 January 2017, users in the UK will see a 13% hike in enterprise software license fees, and a 22% rise in cloud prices.

Microsoft periodically assesses the impact of its local pricing of products and services to ensure there is reasonable alignment across the region and this change is an outcome of this assessment. Norway and Sweden saw similar changes in April 2016.   Following the adjustment, Microsoft cloud products will still be competitive for customer paying in British pounds.

Smart Computers will communicate further information including indicative pricing for January as it becomes available.
