Covid-19 update 17.03.2020

The team at Smart Computers understand that our customers may be worried about the impact of Coronavirus (Covid 19) and the ability for the Smart team to operate ‘business as usual’.

Following the Government announcement on 17th March 2020, we are taking measures to ensure both our staff and our customers are protected.

As part of our Business Continuity Plans, we will be operating a skeleton staff structure in the office on a rotation basis, with the rest of the team working remotely. Service levels will not be affected as a result, however please be aware that we are experiencing a higher level than normal volume of calls.

With immediate effect, we will be operating on a remote support basis until further instructions are issued by the Government. This in order to minimise the spread of the disease. If you usually receive onsite support from Smart, we will use this time to dedicate to your account, however will operate this service remotely. In the case of an emergency, we will review this situation and discuss the best options with you to resolve.

There is no threat to our current operations and we believe that we have taken all necessary steps at this stage to mitigate the impact on our business and therefore the impact on your business. We will continue to monitor developments closely, and check, modify and update our plans in accordance with Government advice and keep customers informed via the ‘news’ section of our website.

Should you have any further, specific questions now or at any time, please do not hesitate to contact us at helpdesk@smart.uk.com in the first instance.
