From 1996 to today – three decades of change
When Smart first opened its doors, the world of technology looked very different. Dial‑up internet, floppy disks and on‑site repairs were the norm. Over the years, we’ve adapted to every major shift in the industry – and helped our customers do the same.
2000s – The rise of broadband and remote support
As broadband became widespread, Smart expanded into remote IT monitoring and proactive support, helping businesses reduce downtime and stay ahead of issues. This shift laid the foundations for the managed IT services and computer and laptop rental services we deliver today.
2010s – Cloud, cybersecurity and managed IT
The move to cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365, Azure and AWS transformed how organisations worked. Cybersecurity became essential, and fully managed IT support became the standard. Smart expanded its cyber security services, cloud solutions to meet these new demands.
2020s – Hybrid working, cyber resilience and modern IT
The shift to remote and hybrid working – accelerated by COVID – reshaped the way businesses operate.
