Smart Computers supporting the 2017 Hamper Scamper appeal

In December 2016, Smart Computers formed a partnership with local charity CCP. Donating time, services and much needed funds to this very worthwhile cause. We’re pleased to say that we have chosen to continue this support throughout 2018. CCP will remain as our charity of the year.

Tim Potts, Managing Director at Smart Computers, said: “We have really enjoyed being part of the CCP family in 2017 and are really proud of what the charity has achieved over the last 12 months. We’re delighted to be continuing our support throughout 2018.”

Hamper Scamper appeal

Our support always ramps up at this time of year, and 2017 is no different. Smart Computers are donating not one but two top of the range rental laptops to the charity to enable them to keep connected whilst on site managing the mammoth task that is the 2017 Hamper Scamper appeal.

Hamper Scamper is CCP’s Christmas Giving Scheme. The scheme aims to spread a little cheer to some of the most disadvantaged children, young people, families and vulnerable adults at Christmas.

In 2016, CCP delivered:

  • 2,500 gifts for disadvantaged children and young people worth £50k
  • 1,148 food parcels for families and vulnerable adults living in poverty, worth £81k

In addition to donating two laptops, Smart Computers will be helping out with the Hamper Scamper appeal on 8th December. We’re sending a 26 strong team who will be ready to sort, pack, order and arrange food donations.

Give your support

If you’d like to help support the appeal, CCP will be accepting donations throughout December, alternatively you can support through a cash donation. Cash donations can be made on-line by credit or debit card, or by text. For example, to donate £5, text ‘HAMP33 £5’ to 70070.

Cordell Ray, chief executive of CCP said, “We’re absolutely thrilled that Smart Computers have chosen to continue their partnership with CCP. The support we receive from local businesses really helps us to continue our work to prevent homelessness, strengthen local families and promote independence in the county and again I wish to extend my gratitude to Smart Computers.”
